Scandinavian tray, handcrafted in Sweden on the island of Öland using birchwood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
Few patterns in Scandinavian design history are as iconic as Berså, the famous stem of green leaves designed by Stig Lindberg (1916-1982). As one of the most influential post-war designers in Sweden Stig worked with ceramic, glass, tableware, and textile prints during his long and successful career with Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory.
Berså was produced from 1960-1974 and quickly became one of Lindberg's most beloved patterns that could be found in every other Swedish home the 60s and 70s. Lately the pattern has had a huge revival in Scandinavia and is now available in Australia on trays, tea towels, potholders and cushions.
