Säy What is a new Scandinavian interior brand that loves playing with the strange, silly (and sometimes suggestive) translations of English and Swedish words.
Swedish founders and friends, Rickard (co-founder of THETRAY.SHOP) and Diana (co-founder of Fika Swedish Kitchen), have both lived in Australia for a number of years. It didn’t take long for them to notice there were a few words they had to be extra careful with. An innocent word in one language could have a surprising, or even worrying, meaning in the other. And so the idea for a chatty new brand was born — Säy What!
The first collection features a range of trays and quirky translations. They’re all handmade in Sweden from Scandinavian birch wood, are ideal for serving up cinnamon buns and bound to start conversations at the dinner table.
Come say 'Hej' at The Big Design Market in Sydney, Royal Hall of Industries 7-9 December.
Every year on the first weekend of December the traditional and very popular Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar is held in the lush gardens surrounding Toorak House. The event has become the highlight of Christmas for many locals with over 12.000 visitors.
THETRAY.SHOP will be back in Melbourne for the event on 1-2 December!
