Megan McKean

Megan McKean is a designer, travel writer, author & illustrator. Creating travel inspired pieces for McKean Studio and other companies, her work spans digital, print and 3D forms. Megan's illustration work is characterised by the use of bright colour palettes, strong line work and surprising details hidden within each piece, encouraging the viewer to go back for another look to see what they may have missed.

Rickard met Megan at The Big Design Market and it quickly became clear that a collaboration would be in order, and so the Aus-Tray-lia range was born.

Living Pattern

Jenny's creative process starts with a combination of drawing from observation and imagination. She lets the subject inform where the line wants to go and how it wants to feel. Colour is the emotion in her work. The ink is free to deepen and soften, just as colour would in nature.

Kevin is an artist and designer based in Sydney, Australia who draws inspiration for his colourful designs from the azure skies, abundant wildlife and spectacular beaches embracing the beautiful harbourside city. His bold, exuberant style features gestural florals, painterly strokes and expressive hand-drawn shapes.

Now, the self-taught illustrator is using her travel bug as a launchpad for her five-month-old creative venture, Inkspired — hand-painted, travel-inspired accessories that are finding fans as far away as Australia.
